General Sports Information

Welcome to EAMS Athletics

We offer many opportunities for after school sports participation here at East Ave Middle School. Our focus is on individual as well as team development in a competitive but fun environment. Most seasons are short (ten weeks are average) and require after school practices. Every student can benefit from athletic participation with their school physiologically as well as psychologically. The attached flyer lists each sport we offer here at East and its season start month. Each athlete needs a school district physical form completed by their physician and turned into the office before their sports begin. They need to maintain a C grade average minimum, and please make your donations as well. Thank you and we hope to see you participating and supporting your school through our athletics program!

EAMS Athletics and Donations

Athletics is an integral part of the development of students in middle school. It is the mission of the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Athletic Department to inspire each student to extraordinary achievement every day. We provide a comprehensive athletic program that emphasizes the development of lifelong learning, values, and skills through hard work, sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and fair play.

During each season of sport, the school's athletic department may ask for donations to contribute to the expenses of uniforms, equipment, and officials. While any donation is appreciated, the suggested donation amount is $100 per sport. The California Constitution's free school guarantee prohibits charging students any fee, charge, or deposit for extracurricular, credit, or non-credit activities that are part of the District's or school site's educational program. Though many programs request parent/guardian donations, which are permissible, these donations are not mandaory. Donations may be made through the school's webstore found on the school's website, or with cash or check at the school site. Donations are not refunded. All donations will be made to the General Athletics Account. Donations in any amount are very much appreciated and will be equitably distributed to athletic teams in compliance with Title IX.

PLEASE NOTE: Donations are welcome at any time. Donations are not required of any student or family. No child will be denied participation in any activities, regardless of whether donations are given.
